Ping Pong Pong Pen

We ended up in this lovely little guesthouse, paying just a fiver a night, we thought it would be a little shabby, but we're not in a country that rips you off at every given opportunity. it's amazing.

doesnt he look cool :) hehe. we also found a lovely little restaurant and i got my pad thai!!! soo deliscious, and im quite impressed how accurate the recipe is in England - its pretty much the same.

Busy day planned for wednesday (which was the day after) i know were being reall useless with the blog - but being here is too much fun, feel like im wasting my time a bit on the internet.

Home Sweet Home

Tuesday 23rd June

We've come half way round the world, into a completely different culture but the people of Thailand have made the extra special effort to make us feel at home

sadly there was no replacement bus, but we did find a cheery taxi driver and a bottle of water called "cheery" which is distilled by a process of "reverse osmosis" which doesnt sounds very cheery. We made it to the coach station safe and sound and were on our way to Kanchanaburi, where we were hassled into some "saamlaw" (rickshaw) which has a seat designed for two thai bottoms - not ours.

[VIDEO WILL COME ONE DAY... ]

Luckily the place that we were pretty much forced into is really wonderful ... picture to follow, camera is out of battery.

CNC AND CAL (not fallen out yet)

The beautiful sights of Bangkok

Monday 22nd June (or is it still Sunday?)

OK so we arrived at our hotel room, which was really beautiful, kind of morroccan themed with the most amazing swimming pool...

and went on the sky train into the centre for shopping and dinner - which was realllyyy spicy but unbeknown to us at 17.30 whilst in the rush of the train station we realised we may well be in the middle of the largest game of "What's the Thai Mr Wolf?" Luckily Christopher cottoned on and grabbed my arm to stop and listen to the daily recital of the national anthem WHY ISNT THAT SHIT IN THE GUIDEBOOK???

The most impressive thing, was how orderly and polite and SMILLEEEYYY everyone is, its SO civilised, and lovely, not even in a sterile boring kind of way. We had some crazy ass dinner - still not sure what cuisine it was really? Had a super spicy papaya crab salad and some other random meat thing covered in chillies - the waiter laughed when we ordered it. Christopher ate it.

Sunday 21st June...

This is our plane.
It didn't crash.
Unfortunately we wern't aloud to take our furbies on board :(

But more importantly the food was great, and the people sitting next to us wern't annoying (or fat).

PS: DO NOT WATCH 'He's just not that into you' (not that you would anyway)

ETA: 48 hrs

Ok,

So not long left now and I'm starting to get worried, have we packed enough toilet roll? have we prepared for yellow fever? Ok so I'm over the worrying now but I cant help thinking I have just 48hrs left to eat as many dairy products as possible!

According to  Miss RJ Lewis this will form the basis of most of our diet while in Asia. I am not intending on eating any Canis Lupus while I'm on holiday however I have found the answer to a question that we have all been asking....

What ever happened to lassie?

Well at least now we know?

Re: eBay

I would like to draw Miss Cramers attention to this...

eBay

Sorry... HOW MUCH HAVE YOU SPENT ON eBAY THIS WEEK?

And why have you ordered something to be shipped from Bangkok just so we can take it back there? This little package has a bigger carbon footprint than i do! Also... IT'S SALE TIME IN SINGAPORE! : )

Oh yeahhh babyy! Getting a little too excited also because Christopher has planned a surprise. I never know whether to trust a surprise by CAL. I could end up sleeping on a boat. An origami boat. Maybe i shouldn't joke about that - he'll get ideas. In fairness that boat does actually look pretty cool, and before you ask, YES i do know we're not going to Japan!

Mr Watt

Im not so sure that the sexuality of our taxi driver is to important?
However, this is...

£5 per person per night.

CAL

Mister Watt

So here's the deal...
"Fare is 150 Baht per person. If you are
going to be later, please phone directly to our taxi driver 085 786 1526
(Mister Wat), to confirm a time for pick up"
And I'm thinking this may well be Mister Watt
CNC

Keen

Getting a bit keeno on this blog thing, but this is the plan of our travels, maybe ill upload an itinerary (yes of course i have an itinerary)

So the basic plan is... Bangkok, Nam Tok, Chiang Mai, Northern areas, Beach areas, FULL MOON PARTY, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, Phnom Penh & back to Bangkok.

CNC

5 P's

I feel I must respond to Charlottes earlier Post, and my theories on preparation.
In a nut shell when I was younger my family insisted on doing all those 'fun' activities that only families can make 'fun' such as; hiking for 12 hrs non stop and getting lost, Sailing when you have to crack the ice around the boat and who can forget cycling until you feet bleed.
Ok maybe I am slightly over exaggerating, but the point I am trying to make is that I had installed in me from an early age the following principle...

PRIOR
PREPARATION
PREVENTS
PISS POOR
PERFORMANCE

So with this in mind my packing could be considered, by some, to be excessive. However I feel that if we are stuck in some random place, and please picture the scene... Rain, wind (there no wind i know but it add's to the dramtasisim) and Ray Meres style hut fashioned out of banana leaf. Charlotte has a massive cut that is infected with trench foot and I have been bitten by a wild dog.
And thanks to the 5 P's I pull out my trusty... IMODIUM!

Re: Re:Ladyboys...

No wait, thats a guy right?

Re: Ladyboys...

I'd hit that.

Ladyboys...

Monday 15th

OK... 6 days to go and all i'm thinking is SHIT, SHE'S HOT! And is that right or wrong? I mean... it's a guy, so... it's OK for me. But Christopher on the other hand. Oh this is so confusing. Anyway, small issue really... We booked somewhere to stay for full moon partyy wooo =] most beautiful little house, or hut? I don't know what it's called? They call it a bungalow, but it has more than 1 floor so its not really a bungalow. Who cares, its a fucking hut on a beach and the view is probably the most spectacular thing i've ever seen in my life. Bring on the sunshinee...

One week to go...

Sunday 14th June

One week to go, and packing seems so much more exciting than revising! Can't really believe i've been planning this trip for over a year, not really sure i ever thought it would happen and now its only 7 days away! Saying that, the plan didn't actually involve having to get about twenty-million injections and pay hundreds for malaria tablets and anti-bed-bug covers. Christopher has been totally too organised (it's quite adorable) but at least i know where the diarrhea tablets are when we need them and apparently we will need them.

"Travellers' diarrhoea (TD) is a condition characterised by a marked increase in the frequency of unformed bowel movements and is commonly accompanied by abdominal cramps, urgency, nausea, bloating, vomiting, fever, and malaise. "

Not to worry, only 60% of travelers get it. Maybe that was a bit graphic. And what's malaise? It sounds a bit like mayonnaise...
